Sep 24, 2004 · I'm using the large cables, and the battery is a huge 6volt Mack truck "bulldog" battery, which used to have lots of cranking amps. I was hoping to get it running before I had to buy another battery, but it looks like this battery has had it, although by battery tester shows that it's still good, and it does still turn the motor over, however slow.
Oct 02, 2013 · I've been reading about T-5 swaps, and I think that with some updates to a stock flathead (HEI ignition, carb / exhaust, 12v conversion) and a 5 speed it could be a pretty decent truck. I have absolutely NO desire to drop a big v8 in it. The older trucks, however, are *prime* candidates for a rat rod.

Most of the trucks were sold with either 3 or 4-speed manual trannies. The truck weighed in at 4,850 lb. Colors were limited but a two-tone paint was available.
